Frassinello Castle, located in the Monferrato area of Alessandria, has ancient origins linked to its defensive function against the Saracens, with the first official mentions dating back to the 11th century (a diploma from Henry III). Characterized by a C-shaped structure, it was owned by the Counts of Nemours and underwent significant neo-Gothic renovations in the 19th century, preserving a frescoed noble wing.

Building kept in perfect condition.

Montemagno Monferrato is a municipality in the province of Asti. The center of the town is characterized by the Montemagno castle and the remains of the church of Saints Vittore and Corona, built in Romanesque style.

I recommend taking a walk on the path behind the walls, with a view of the surrounding hills, and it is possible to have a look at the castle in its entirety, even without entering it
