ボルミオの滝・トップ12

A mystical place, surrounded by numerous legends. It's worth spending some time here and exploring the mystery. The open wooden chapel houses three fountains.

Just above the little church, there's a lovely loop to the waterfall and back. The left section runs almost pathless through the wild scree of the Eiswandferner glacier.

The church isn't beautiful from the outside, but it's very beautifully designed inside. The Three Holy Wells in the chapel are very beautiful. They're worth a visit. I recommend driving to parking lot 3. From there, it's about 800 meters to the chapel and the Holy Wells. I wouldn't drive any further, as the road isn't very well-paved, and you don't want to damage your car.

The steel cables make sense in two places: firstly because you have to climb over rocks and secondly because the path is very narrow and there is a danger of falling.

The "Staalkabel" is located on the waterfall path in the northern ascent to the waterfall "Here you have to go through".

Steel cables are always an added value for maintaining good balance during this walk. However, this is not very useful for different ages and a less 'flexible' physique ;-). Perhaps put up a small information board at the start of the walk to show that this short walk can be 'challenging' for some people ;-).

If you are lucky enough to climb the Passo dello Stelvio on a spring/autumn or summer day after a rainy day, you will be able to see this waterfall in its full splendor. The waterfall largely rises through the area of 14 linked tornanti in the Casa Cantoniera.
