This historic trail follows an ancient military mule track built along the slopes of Monte Scale to guard the Stelvio Pass road. Now fully restored, it winds through mountain pine forests, old fortifications, and spectacular viewpoints over the Braulio Valley. Along the way, you'll encounter the remains of military buildings, an interrupted tunnel, and a natural terrace overlooking the curves of the Stelvio Pass.

Also known as Cameraccia, this cave dedicated to the edelweiss is located at 2,500 meters above sea level at the foot of Mount Sobretta. For centuries, it served as a refuge for shepherds transhumance between the Camonica Valley and the Gavia Pass. Its walls are adorned with hundreds of engravings—recording names, dates, and symbols—some dating back to the 1700s: testimonies of those who lived in the mountains in ancient times.

This quartz quarry is still active and helps give its name to this section of the Bormio 360 route (mineral trail). You can get there from a very steep road going up from Sondalo or going down on simple dirt roads, but be careful in both cases because you might encounter trucks carrying material to or from the quarry to the town.

Shortly after the Passo Pietra Rossa hotel, take a nice little path to the left that enters the woods

A beautiful cave where you can observe the carvings made by shepherds over the centuries during their days on the mountain pastures. This unique cave is worth a visit if you're hiking in the area.

The Cava can be reached after an uphill ride above Sondalo. It's a nice vantage point from which to admire the valley

The Source is located in an artificial cave, built in 1908 by the architect Ramponi and which replaced an ancient shed. Known, celebrated and used as a drink since ancient times, the water from this source flows from a fissure in the Dolomite rock face of the Reit. The Pliniana spring has a flow rate of approximately 100 liters per minute with a constant temperature of approximately 38° C.
