Beautiful high-altitude trail on the Stol that leads into a rather steep footpath, on which we had to push the bike downhill for a few minutes.

Great hut with very friendly staff. I had delicious food here and spent a pleasant night in the camp. Everything was super clean. I felt very welcome.

A beautifully located hut. For our group, we only had Jota or minestrone, with or without sausage. It was plentiful and delicious. Cold drinks were also available.

70 metres below the summit is the Monte Nero refuge, an excellent place to rest and take shelter after the long climb.

The small refuge with rudimentary management is a good place to take a break after visiting the summit. It's just a few minutes below the summit and the view is phenomenal when the weather is good. The official name of the hut is “Gomišckovo zavetišce na Krnu”.

An excellent place to stop for a meal or refreshments if hiking any one of the numerous trails in the area. This refuge is just beside the Italy / Slovenia border
