Correggio Park is one of the most interesting green oases in the province, sumptuous and elegant, it stands in the heart of the urbanized area of the town, with a large surface area, a huge garden, simple and usable, a real green lung in the heart of the urban center. The largest green area in Correggio, called the Memory Park, boasts over 1,000 trees, large areas of lawn that are particularly sunny and suggestive and a very long, linear avenue that crosses it entirely, allowing for walks or bike rides for about 5 kilometers in total, alternating ever-different points of view. From every observation point, the landscape is always rigorously native and typically Po Valley. On the other hand, the park was designed and structured for large homogeneous areas that reproduce the various evolutionary phases of the vegetation of the territory precisely to represent the evolution of the environment of the plain in a historical period that goes from prehistory to today. The Memorial Park was built over 20 years ago and officially opened in May 1998, and today it is possible to do many activities, thanks to sports facilities built in the park, as well as rest under the shade of the trees or watch the animals that populate this green area, such as turtles, rabbits, cats, geese and ducks.

It is a rebalancing area of over 13 hectares, 40% of which is occupied by a residual reservoir from the cultivation of an abandoned open-air clay quarry, filled over time with spring and rainwater, where a thick hedge, also dotted with tall trees, it flanks the right side of the lake and the spontaneous vegetation acts as a refuge for numerous species of resident and transient birds.
