This section of the trail is rocky and difficult to cycle. Between Colle dei Cerri and Colle delle Valli, you descend into a gorge and cross a dry stream (October 2025); the location is very picturesque.

The paved road will allow you to reach an acceptable altitude to tackle the Monti Lucertola and challenge Monte Gennaro. The split mountain is the entrance to the park from the San Polo dei Cavalieri side.

This short stretch of road that crosses the Obito gorges is closed to vehicular traffic due to landslides, so it is really pleasant to cycle around. Entering from Ascrea you have to carry the bicycle by hand for about fifty meters to pass the rocks of an old landslide. You then pedal on a comfortable dirt road completely immersed in the silence of the woods of the Navegna Cervia Nature Reserve, accompanied by the sound of the waters of the Obito river.

Narrow single track that runs along the Farfa river on a path of the Via di Francesco. It passes near an old Sabine sansificio and a little further on is the Natural Monument and protected area of the Farfa Gorges.
