Spectacular to see it frozen and to be able to walk on it

The views from the path are magnificent. In the foreground you can see the town of Vañes and, in the background, the beautiful Requejada reservoir.

Incredible views of the Compuerto hydroelectric dam in the valley of the Carrión river feeding on meltwater and streams from the Sierra de Brezo.

It is more than 2000m high and can be accessed from Cardaño de Arriba by a beautiful path that, during winter and early spring, the snow makes it a somewhat complicated ascent.

Beautiful views of the town of Vañes with the Requejada reservoir and its peripheral mountains.

The best thing about the Ruesga reservoir is that bathing is allowed, and that it also has a sand area and a garden so that people can sunbathe, and there is even the possibility of renting pedal boats to go to the most deep in the swamp.

This area is enabled to take a break. A perfect excuse to enjoy this wonderful place while having a snack.

Beautiful hiking route through the Palentina Mountain that leads us from Cardaño de Arriba, to the El Pozo de las Lomas glacier lagoon.
