In September 2024, the Almageller stream had a lot of water due to heavy rain. This destroyed both bridges. Even if you can't get to them directly, you can see an impressive spectacle here.

It is approx. 10 km from Simplon Dorf via Gabi, old barracks, Fort Gondo to Gondo. The great view of the breathtaking gorge and the 350 m long tunnel in Fort Gondo are worth seeing. 😁

Wonderful section of the Stockalperweg in the Gondo Gorge. The trail also passes through the old WWII fort. Very varied and beautiful area.

Wow, what an impressive canyon! The Stockalperweg leads in places directly above the imposing Gondo Gorge. The insights into the depths of the gorge are breathtaking. You will also see beautiful waterfalls that end in the Doveria River.
