The Creux de Terre near Yverdon-les-Bains is an impressive karst sinkhole and also a significant nature reserve. The basin was formed by geological processes in which limestone sank, forming a funnel-shaped basin. Today, the area is home to moist meadows, ponds, small forests, and rich biodiversity. Amphibians such as frogs, toads, and newts find ideal living conditions here. Numerous bird species also breed or rest in the reserve. Walking trails with information panels lead through the basin and explain its geology, flora, and fauna. The Creux de Terre is easily accessible from nearby Yverdon.

Camp Pittet is the ideal place to immerse yourself in protected nature. There are two options (apart from the fact that there are also guided tours). Either you go along the paths on your own and climb the viewing platform, or you go to the center, including the exhibition and more, and can then immerse yourself in nature - without having to cross the main street (pedestrian tunnel). The last variant has the advantage that you can also visit the observation station when you enter (code-secured). Nicer bike path connection between Concise and Grandson always along the coast. The better alternative to the main street. It rolled comfortably over small village connecting roads without traffic. Tarmac is good.

a nice clean campsite right on the lake. Family atmosphere, friendly staff. Very shallow access to the lake, well suited for children.

This traffic-free route is part of the SwitzerlandMobility network. It is a much more pleasant alternative to the cantonal road when going around Lake Neuchâtel

Small natural lake with water lilies and frogs. There is still a swimming area on Lake Neuchâtel. From here, however, the cycle route continues further up. (driving ban).
