On both banks of the Limmat, in Baden and Ennetbaden, small pools with thermal water were built that are accessible to everyone. The bathing pool in Ennetbaden is somewhat hidden, below the cycle and footpath, hidden from view, which makes it even more attractive. The 13.4 hectare protected area is located in the east of the Klingnau reservoir. The area is home to the largest oxbow lake in the lower Aaretahl, which has escaped exploration and agricultural use. Extensive reed beds and open water areas characterize the habitat for amphibians, fish and birds.

Swampy area near the Klingnau reservoir, offers space for many animal species. Beavers are at work, many ducks find shelter here, and swans can also be seen. An asphalted cycle path leads you through this beautiful area.
