I like to stop here and enjoy this beautiful view of this little oasis of peace, the water reflections are so often simply fantastic that it is difficult to cycle away again. And the swan, when it begins its elegant dance on the water, almost enchanting me, as if sensing my admiration, just doesn't stop. Ind turns in circles, hides from me under the bridge, and then again swims so elegantly, and he wraps his long neck back and forth, and then keeps his whole head under the surface of the water. And then he's back, looking at me...

Hike starts at Döttingen train station, parking lot (charges apply). The first hour is free, but CHF 5.00 covers the whole day, which is worth it. This hike can be done all year round and is really easy. Ideal for families and also for people who own a dog. Various species of birds can be observed along the entire Klingnau reservoir, which is really beautiful. The view is even more beautiful from the bird watching tower, and the different birds can be viewed from a different perspective. It is important to note that this is a nature reserve and care should be taken to ensure that it is not too noisy, especially if traveling with children. Today I noticed how many people were hiking and at the same time how quiet the area was. You didn't notice that there was actually so much going on. Highlights I felt: - Bird watching tower with beautiful views of different bird species. - Beautiful circular hike around the Klingnauer reservoir.
