The Commandery of the Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem is located in the municipality of Hohenrain. It is one of the oldest Hospitaller settlements in Switzerland. It was first mentioned in 1182/83 as a commandery. Parts of the complex, dating from the late 12th and 13th centuries, have been largely preserved as part of a medieval castle belonging to the Order. 前回はお城の廃墟を見逃してしまいましたが、今回は木々のてっぺん越しにかろうじて見つけました。家に帰ってから調べたところ、もっと詳しく見てみる価値があるかもしれません。

This castle is one of the most charming sights in the Lucerne Seetal and a vantage point over Lake Baldegg, the Alps and the impressive castle complex.

After the monastery was abolished in 1841, the castle was used as a residential and inn, for example as an air and whey health resort “zum Lindenhof” with baths for “primarily weak, anemic and hectic people in need of relaxation”. The Art Nouveau “winter garden” was later dismantled and is still used by the restaurant today.

The ruins of Lieli are the ruins of a hilltop castle with a viewing platform in the municipality of Lieli in the canton of Lucerne. It is also called "Nünegg" after its characteristic shape with nine corners. The viewing platform is just great.
