Hilfikon Castle was built around 1290 and is located between the Bünz and Seetal valleys. In the 17th century, the castle was given its baroque appearance. It is privately owned and only external visits are possible.

The climb to the castle ruins is very narrow and very steep and so is the descent, but for my effort I once again satisfied my curiosity 🤣😂 and found that the ruins are still there

After the monastery was abolished in 1841, the castle was used as a residential and inn, for example as an air and whey health resort “zum Lindenhof” with baths for “primarily weak, anemic and hectic people in need of relaxation”. The Art Nouveau “winter garden” was later dismantled and is still used by the restaurant today.
