Very pleasant from the St. Gallen side,… slightly uphill from AR,…..

The Steinach River's gradient has been used by the town's mills since ancient times. The Mühleggbahn, opened in 1893 as a water-ballast cable car, was later converted first into a cog railway and then into an inclined lift. It covers a distance of 323 meters and overcomes a height difference of approximately 70 meters.

Colloquially, this bridge is called "Ganggelibrugg" because it sways slightly (ganggelet) due to its light construction.

An extremely cool T2 (T2+) trail in the Mülitobel gorge, climbing along the babbling and rushing Tobelbach stream. A non-critical section is secured by ropes. The cave, however, is merely a pronounced rock overhang.

The descent and ascent are characterized by a wild mix of two streams, the Rotbach, which flows into the Sitter. Wildly romantic, subject to the changing times, constantly changing.

The bridge in the Rachentobel over the Sonderbach appears to be in danger of collapsing (February 2025). The hiking trail is officially closed (see SwitzerlandMobility map) and there are corresponding signs at two points a few hundred meters before the ravine, but they are quite incomprehensible. We then asked a farmer about the current situation. And on the bridge itself there is a sign saying that a maximum of 3 people are allowed.
