Located at an altitude of 674 metres, Lake Bret is a natural reservoir which supplies the city of Lausanne with drinking water.

Small lake nestled like in the palm of a hand. Possibility of going around, but on foot.

I recommend the high pass and a stop in Granvaux. The route is through the vineyards, with exceptional views and respect for the farm workers. Little traffic, some steep climbs, but we arrive with enthusiasm. In Granvaux, a "Corto Maltaise" village, take the time to go to the restaurant terraces and enjoy an ice cream: with the view, it has a different flavor!

Bourg-en-Lavaux is a municipality in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is located in the Lavaux-Oron district and is part of the beautiful Lavaux area, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2007. The municipality was created in 2011 after the merger of the former municipalities of Cully, Grandvaux, Riex, Aran-Villette and Epesses. Here is a view of the Route de la Corniche.

The Lavaux vineyards are a wine region that extends over a slope of almost 14 kilometres along Lake Geneva and covers an area of almost 900 hectares. The region offers a unique view with its steep slopes and terraces supported by stone walls, the huts where the winegrowers stored their tools, with the bonus: the panoramic view of the Alps. Epesses, a village and AOC in the Lavaux, is also home to a wine museum, where visitors can learn about the history and wine culture of the region. An essential step during a hike in the area!
