Hiidenportti Gorge is the heart of Hiidenportti National Park, where towering rock walls give way to a landscape of shady spruce forests, vibrant meadows, and tranquil woodlands. As you hike through this unspoiled Finnish wilderness, you'll experience a rich tapestry of nature in serene solitude.

The Orinoro Gorge was formed by meltwater flows at the end of the last ice age, around 10,000 years ago. A stream of meltwater that flowed northwest to southwest as the ice sheet retreated cleared the gorge of loose rock and soil.

One of the seven wonders of Savo, well worth seeing.

Loketononkalo is a northwest-southeast trending channel that was eroded by meltwater from the continental ice sheet at bedrock weaknesses. (For more information see Saimaa Geopark Geopark Finland)

According to the signs, going clockwise is better. There is parking directly on site.

Seinävuoren rotkolaakso ja vaellusreitit (Seinävuoren Gorge valley and hiking trails) Beautiful place to swim, have a barbecue and enjoy nature. A short but challenging path has been created around the lake, which also offers great insights into the gorge.
