Update. Now i have tried both way. And surely the passage from west to east is so freakin difficult. Its like climbing a wall with stable gradient 15-20% and tops out at 25% near the end.

In the Harau Valley there should be rock cliffs. The formation of the Harau Valley is due to a descending fault or block that descends to form a fairly wide and flat valley. One of the signs or ways to see where the fault is located is the presence of a waterfall. In my opinion, there are similarities, but only slightly. I've passed here several times, still amazed by the natural paintings and the expanse of rice fields which, when they turn yellow and contrast with the bamboo trees on the edges of the cliffs, can be good spots for photos.

It turns out that to get to the rim of the Upas Crater, like it or not, you have to go this way. Be careful when it rains, it can become slippery and turn into a water channel. It's located right in front of the last stall which is only open Saturday-Sunday... so make sure you bring provisions up... if you're afraid of going hungry and running out of energy to go down...

If you want to come from any direction, you must descend first and climb, it is also called a valley. But it will be more difficult if from the West (Pasirlangu to Cisarua) because the climb is steeper

It turns out that to get to the crater you have to go through this passage. This alley is right in front of the last stall.
