A dreamily situated mountain resort with attention to detail. Each cabin is individually and tastefully decorated. The main building/restaurant has a real mountain lodge feel. Several charming hiking trails, almost all of them circular, pass through this resort, making it worthwhile to spend a night or two there.

Closed tightly. No access. A cesspool all around, because there is no access to the toilet. The only plus is a spacious asphalt parking lot, where you can leave your car on the way to the top of Ida.

The only serviced hut in western Crete at an altitude of 1,680 metres. Even in summer, the temperatures up here are pleasant, below 20 degrees. There is a gravel track up, but walking is more exciting. The path begins right at the entrance to the Samaria Gorge and later leads into the gravel track. It is around 4 km and 300 metres in altitude to overcome. Great view of the Samaria Gorge from the top.

The second rest stop after the climb. Simple but good food. You can also spend the night here.
