Just outside of Harrison, you'll pass a beautiful stretch of marshland along the Coeur d'Alene River. This scenic area is filled with water lilies, wildlife, and offers sweeping views of the river and parts of the Harrison Slough.

Hayden Lake is renowned for its clear waters, sandy beaches, and scenic wooded shores. It has over 40 miles of shoreline and is part of the Bitterroot Mountain Range.

City park is located right on the bike path. It is the place to be in the summer. It's the lively heart of the lake, offering a swim beach, basketball courts, picnic shelter, grills, drinking fountains, and sand volleyball courts. A fantastic spot to stop and get some lake vibes!

Gamlin Lake Trail system offers three miles of gentle and easy trail through a forest overstory, providing foot access to Gamlin Lake. The trail is closed to motorized use and equestrians. The trail can also be used for cross-country skiing during the winter, but is not groomed. Moose, osprey and r fish species such as bass, perch, and crappie flourish in Gamlin Lake’s unique and special wetland habitat.

There are a few different trails at Tubbs Hill Park, and by far the most popular is the Tubbs Hill Main Trail, which is a loop trail that circles around the perimeter of the park. The trail has a bunch of rolling hills with lots of coastline views and a fair bit of tree-cover.

At the end of the Maiden Rock Trail you find a rocky beach with fantastic views of the mountains in the distance beyond Lake Pend Oreille. A large cliff stands next to the beach and is the namesake for the trail.

The Bass Creek Trail, like so many in the region, delves deep through a canyon into the Bitterroot Range along a scenic creek. Expect superb views of towering, jagged granite walls and a real sense of serenity. Eventually the trail arrives a Bass Lake, a glorious sight among the mountains.

Kootenai Creek Trail is located in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and follows the creek of the same name into a classic Bitterroot canyon. The creek is very scenic, as it tumbles through the canyon over rocks and boulders. The trail ends at Kootenai Lakes, a group of gorgeous alpine lakes, though it's quite a trek to get that far.
