Marselisborg Castle has been the summer residence of the Danish royal family since 1902. The building was completed on June 7, 1902 and was presented as a wedding gift from the Danish people to Crown Prince Christian and his bride Alexandrine of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The castle is still used as a summer residence by the royal family today. The castle is not open to the public, but the castle park can be entered by the public when the royal family is not present. Through glass panels you can imagine the buildings in the 13th and 15th centuries in the landscape. It is also a pretty place by the lake, when it is not flooded.
