When you're on the Hærvejen route near Nørre Snede, the Nørre Snede Shelter and Fire Pit is a great overnight visit that offers a simple, but authentic, place to rest and spend the night. You'll find a basic wooden shelter for protection from the elements and a fire pit where you can cook a warm meal or simply enjoy the crackling flames under the stars. It's a fantastic example of the many primitive camping options available to hikers in Denmark.

Expansive shelter site with toilets, firewood, drinking water and many a fire/grill spot. Great to spend the night on a thru hike and a great spot to watch the sunset!

The shelter offers protection from wind and weather. There are opportunities for hiking and exploring nature nearby. Don't forget to take your rubbish with you and leave the place clean.

Overnight accommodation

Sleep with your feet in the water of the Little Belt and use the forest as a pillow. There are 2 shelters on the square next to the seaside resort, which is also a popular diving spot. Spend the night in one of the two shelters. There are toilets and running water nearby. On the square in front of the two shelters there is a barbecue area with tables and benches. Bake a stick bread or catch a fish in the Little Belt (requires a fishing license) and fry it over the 🔥.

Great place to stay. 3 shelters by a fireplace with table and benches, one a little apart. Toilet nearby (open from April to October). Showers possible in the tourist information.

There are three shelters here, each offering a beautiful view. Each shelter can accommodate 6 people. Reservations can be made at www.nst.dk.
