サモスの滝・トップ11

There is now a construction site at waypoint 11, the path is basically closed. We didn't know this and didn't want to take a detour, so we climbed cross-country, but that was more risky than time-saving. Be careful and re-plan if necessary before you start!!

After the extremely hot summer of 2023, the stream has almost completely dried up. We have rarely experienced something like this in the fall. Nevertheless, the path is always impressive.

Crossing the Potami Gorge is a unique experience in Samos! Fantastic nature and a touch of adventure and action. Anyone who enjoys canyoning will get their money's worth here 👍

Don't forget good water shoes, nothing for slippers or bare feet. Very nice tour through the water over waterfalls and some swimming spots. You can store clothes at the top of the tavern (at the end of the steep stairs).

Always worth a hike. You can also go up to the tavern; and on the other side back down to the stream, then you have saved the first two Wasserfäkke and can enjoy the wild and romantic valley behind.

Spots,ital is always worth a visit. You should be here early because it gets crowded around noon.

Here you immediately forget where you are. You start the path at a small chapel and then disappear into the green. Like a small jungle, it embraces you on such a warm island. Here one forgets in between something that otherwise so much beach, heat and olive trees are part of everyday life. It's pleasantly cool here, the stream accompanies you all the way and you can see an incredible number of animals. At the end you will be rewarded with the waterfall. But important, you can see it either when you swim or when you go up to the tavern and turn there and step up to the waterfall from behind.

At this point there is a waterfall over several floors. You can hike along a little bit. Even in this hot August there was still plenty of water here. There is a well-contained spring with drinking water nearby.
