Bækslugten is the result of a natural disaster that occurred in Lønstrup on August 11, 1877. A cleft cuts through the dune, created during this natural disaster. After a cloudburst, houses, sand, and earth were swept away by the water masses. Excerpts from: https://www.visitnordvestkysten.de/nordvestkysten/planen/baekslugten-gdk595207 After wet weather (less loose sand), the entire path is accessible by bike with suitable equipment (tires!!!) and sufficient muscle power, since the sewage treatment plant was relocated underground a few years ago. But be careful of pedestrians... 😉
