In Montfoort, located in the Groene Hart region, stands the farm "Het Beloken Land," home to one of the few remaining duck decoys in the Netherlands. Decoying was often practiced on the farm in the past. We offer you the opportunity to visit our duck decoy with the decoy operator. You can also explore the museum of old carriages and tools from in and around the farm, including the "Behind the Scenes" exhibition. What a nice bird hut is here! An old work shed with peepholes. Logbook, posters for bird identification, chairs. What a nice initiative and make sure you have coffee and a sandwich with you because it is nice to stop here for a while!

The meaning of Beloken Land is 'land between two development areas'. This implies that beautiful wooded areas have traditionally been present on the edges. Here you will soon be welcomed by various songbirds such as Dunnock, Greenfinch and Goldfinch. In the reed fields present you can hear the Sedge Warbler, Little Crake and Reed Bunting.
