A rather unusual "Kabaischen" of the regional hiking trail "Minett Trail" is in Dudelange. Here is the hiker's hut, an elaborate steel and wood construction, directly on the water surface. A large picture window allows a fascinating view of the water tower, but those who prefer privacy can relax behind curtains in the sleeping alcove. A total of four beds are available. The cooling basin once served as part of the steelworks that processed the ore mined in the surrounding mining areas such as the Haard-Hesselsbierg-Staebierg opencast mine.
