The shelter really offers a great opportunity for a long picnic in any weather, complete with a barbecue and a swim. A great idea.

Welcome to this hiking hut. Here you can experience nature, seek shelter, warm up, eat your snack and maybe even meet other people. The hut is open all year round and can be used free of charge. The hut is intended for day trips and not for overnight stays. However, you are welcome to spend the night in the surrounding nature. Treat the hut with care and help ensure that the guests who come after you also have a pleasant stay. Thank you for leaving the hut tidy.

DNT's well-stocked cabin, always open, in a wonderful mountain and lake landscape. A truly fantastic location, and luxurious facilities with gas for cooking, two wood stoves, a well-stocked pantry, even electric light from a PV-powered battery! The drinking water is drawn from a nearby stream in buckets and tastes simply wonderful! The cabin is not locked and can be booked in advance most of the year, except for the hunting season in September. Hunters have priority then, but there is still room for individual hikers or couples. Payment is easy with the DNT's "Hyttebetaling" app. Wonderful starry sky, landscape all around, simply fantastic!

Quaint little log cabin with fireplace and JØTUL stove. Perfect for a rest and a good shelter when the weather isn't right.

The pantry had either been eaten properly or less well stocked. The lounge in the main lodge is generous, so a little less easily heated and more comfortable when a few people come together at the tables. The hut seemed to be one of the most frequented, and certainly not without reason: both huts have a spacious common room with panoramic windows. There are enough small rooms, so with a bit of luck, you'll have private sleeping quarters. There is cell phone reception on a nearby mountain [Botnsfjellet] (15 minutes away); a notice in the hut indicates this. If you start your tour here and aren't yet a DNT member, you should definitely sign up, especially if you're under 27, but it's also worth it if you stay three nights or more; the provisions are also cheaper! You can sign up either on the mountain via your cell phone or on the forms in the hut. You should pay for the huts via app; it's cheaper then!
