Bled and Lake Bled, with Slovenia's only natural island, are located at the foothills of the Julian Alps and have attracted lovers of beauty for years. Traditional boats called pletna sail to the island, home to the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and its steep staircase, whose bell is a special homage to love.

The trail via Mala Osojnica to Velika Osojnica is a good choice for a longer hike. It's about a 45-minute walk along a steep forest path to Mala Osojnica, at an elevation of 685 meters, and then another 20 minutes to Velika Osojnica at 756 meters. Awesome views of Lake Bled and its surroundings, the Karawanks, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and the Ljubljana Basin await you. You may recognize this view as the subject of one of Bled's most famous panoramic photographs.

A picturesque lake, worth seeing at any time of day or year. A walk around it is quick and offers many impressions and views of the lake and its surrounding buildings and bays. This also includes a stroll through the hotel zone with its many bars and restaurants.
