Exciting rock cellars near Unteruhldingen.

The access is narrow but okay, hell is there. I find the rock itself more interesting.

The cave is an ice cave in which, before the refrigerator era, most people stored the ice from the winter wrapped in straw and linen in order to be able to cool their food in the summer. This type of cave can be found in many places with sandstone nearby. Today some bats live there.

Be careful when walking the path. Rockfalls may occur. There is a small seating area in the cave. Beautiful view of Lake Constance.

Along the friendship path you have numerous opportunities to enjoy the view of the lowlands towards Lake Constance and the Alpine panorama. Rockfall is to be expected along the path.

If you follow the path just a few meters further into the gorge you will reach the so-called Butzeweghöhle.

This path runs slightly below the main hiking trail parallel to the Heiligenberger Steige.
