For me, the associated farm pond is one of the most beautiful village waters in the area.

Starting from the Nordstrand car park (which can also be used as an ideal starting point for a bike tour), the road runs along the lake (north side). Further along the residential road, after 2km there is only an asphalt cycle path/footpath. It rolls along comfortably, every now and then there is access to the lake.

Somewhat undefined section, this highlight. The north side of the lake: Starting from the Nordstrand car park (which can also be used as an ideal starting point for a bike tour), the road runs along the lake (north side). The south side of the lake: A perfectly asphalted cycle path or residential road almost throughout. Only the last stretch towards the east bank is a cycle path of normal quality. But always beautiful views of the lake, fantastic!

The pond certainly belonged to the von Hackeburg castle, which once stood above the pond. Or to the monastery. Unfortunately, no information.

The moated castle was built around 1420 by the Geusau noble family and is now privately owned. This is where the home club Farnstädt is housed. The building has several rooms that can be rented privately.

The road is well paved here and I drove straight on here.
