From here you have a panoramic view. To the west, the Altvaterturm tower rises from the forest. To the east are Eliasbrunn and Heinersdorf, and to the south lies Wurzbach in the valley below.

The Pfitzigberg is very well known among the Schleizers. A sledding hill for everyone. That's how it used to be. Now in the computer age, Schlittenberg is no longer known as a fun mountain in winter. It is definitely known among hikers or MTB bikers and is a nice destination. From here you have great views of Oschitz (district of Schleiz) and Schleiz, depending on where you stand on the mountain. The Pfitzig can be seen from afar; there is a high radio mast on top of it.

Long, narrow, sometimes steep single trail with a few switchbacks 👌🏻 that leads down to the boat company landing stage. Can be quite overgrown in summer! From there either continue by boat or back in the direction of Heinrichstein on a steep uphill climb. Nothing for beginners or a leisurely family outing. Beware of hikers!
