The Elbe High Trail is a pleasure trail for both hikers and cyclists. This shelter protects against unexpected bad weather

We stopped off at the Forsthaus Glüsing with a group of 9 people for a delicious gourmet breakfast. Very good value for money. There was yoghurt, salmon, sausage, egg, cheese and something from the bakery for dessert. We enjoyed our breakfast on the beautiful terrace with large parasols. I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

The hiking trail "Hohes Elbufer" (W30) also runs along here, which I can highly recommend at this point. The Forsthaus Glüsing is more than just an inn - it is a place where tradition meets a cozy coffee house with regional cuisine. Built almost 80 years ago and lovingly restored, the inn combines tradition and cosiness with modern comfort. The refuge is particularly useful when you are out and about there and are surprised by the weather.

A narrow, inconspicuous path leads to the banks of the Fehlingsbleck. Here is a hut from where you can watch waterfowl. A board with pictures of the native birdlife helps with identification.
