Old water tower, formerly used to water steam locomotives. Now privately owned, apparently with an online shop for motorcycle parts :)

The Meuschkensmühle is a lovingly restored mill in the heart of the Mühltal valley, surrounded by forest, water, and hiking trails. Once a working mill, it is now a cozy destination with a restaurant, petting zoo, and riding stables.

Be careful, this place is deserted. It's a testament to real tourism in the past...

Beautiful cycle path, with many fruit trees along the way.

A beautiful bike path. After a few kilometers of gentle uphill, you can soon be scootering for many kilometers downhill. Very welcome when your butt is sore after hundreds of kilometers. 🤣 Otherwise, it's a railway bike path - just straight ahead... it gets boring after a while. 😅

Snacks

The Dragon's Tail Bridge in Ronneburg, Thuringia, will be closed for extensive renovation work starting Tuesday, June 10, 2025. The Gessental cycle path beneath the bridge will remain open and will be protected by scaffolding. Construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2025.
