As an angler you can have mixed opinions on this. In normal fishing ponds, the fish grow based on the organisms that arise naturally in the pond. Here, however, the fish are fed until they are the size of the catch and then put into the pond where they are presented to the anglers. How sustainable this is depends on the feed used. Some anglers call this a “trout puff” and reject it. Anyway, if you can fish, there's a chance (even in the salmonid closed season) to catch a few fish (if you're lucky). The fish in the store, especially the smoked ones, are definitely delicious.
