Unfortunately, when I visited in December 2022, there was no more water in the lake. Like so many other forest lakes, it has dried up.

direct access to the banks of the Leine does not seem to be possible, as the private meadow with a locked gate does not allow passage - the various seats on the way between Leine and Schwarmstedt are recommended.
