At Junction 27 in Westerloh, we found this much-anticipated refreshment! Great! Beer, non-alcoholic beer, juice boxes, water, and a small Aperol mix were available. We also met the boy whose father built this structure and regularly refills it. It's great that someone thought of this and is taking care of it :)

The Theikenmeer provides habitat for numerous waterfowl (such as greylag goose, Canada goose, Egyptian goose, tufted duck and teal). From the bird watching hut you get a good overview of the heart of the nature reserve.

Easily accessible from this side and reachable by bike. Out of respect, you should leave it on the path and walk along the small path, which is about 500 m to the small lookout tower

The lookout tower is beautifully situated towards the water, so that waterfowl and migratory birds can be observed wonderfully. It can also be used as a rest stop. Seating is available for at least six people.

The hut is located on a bridge ramp. Behind the hut is still the abutment of the planned bridge over the never completed side canal Gleesen-Papenburg available.
