The approximately two-hectare city moat is located in the heart of Wolfenbüttel. This has a negative impact on water quality and aquatic organisms, says Udo Berger, chairman of the angling club. The club has now implemented a joint project with the city of Wolfenbüttel to counteract these disadvantages for the local flora and fauna. Depending on the season, numerous birds can be seen from the closed bird watching stand.

There are also beautiful paths through the Asse.

Here you can almost always find a free bench for a short break.
