Gieboldehausen Castle emerged from a former burgher seat of Gieboldehausen Castle, called "Haus auf dem Wall". The adjacent park with a small pond and rare trees 🌳🌴 - black pines, false cypresses and ginkgo trees - now serves as a place for recreation and leisure. A playground has been set up for children.

After a steep ascent, e.g. from the Gartetal, you reach the old and the new equal. Very nice view far across the Leine valley to the west from the Neuen Gleichen. Rest area with barbecue facilities.

The fortified churchyard of Weißenborn is one of the rare surviving examples of mediaeval churchyard castles in the low mountain range. In the case of the plant, probably in the 12th and 13th centuries, a mountain spur towering steeply above the old village of Weißenborn was used.
