In 1959 the Waldhaus in Höllengrund was rebuilt as a small forest restaurant for consumption. The municipality finally took it over in 1966 before it returned to private hands in 1981. In 1996 it came back into the possession of the municipality, which had to extensively renovate the forest house after storm damage. The Waldhaus e. V. was founded, which takes care of the maintenance and organization of festivals around the Waldhaus.
