Seehausen is rightly named and is located on the Seehäuser Lake. The beautiful painting on the little house by the lake is also interesting. The lake is about 634 hectares in size and there is a beautiful circular path around the lake.

Recommended for a bike ride in spring and autumn. From May onwards, it is infested with myriads of mosquitoes. Caution: after the paths have been cleared (once a year), the shrub cuttings lie on the paths and are not cleared away. Then there is an acute risk of thorns getting stuck in the tires, which could lead to a flat tire. The only solution is to replace the tires completely, as the thorns are stuck in the tires.

The Himmelsteich in Sommerschenburg with an area of approx. 11,100 m² is part of the “Harbke - Allertal” landscape protection area. A heavenly pond or heavenly pond is a still body of water that is not fed by any surface inflow and draws water exclusively from precipitation and groundwater. Aside from groundwater-fed ponds, they are found only in areas where annual rainfall exceeds evaporation. At this point in time, after extensive rainfall, the "wild" pond is definitely there.
