Very nice single trail from southwest to northeast, slightly downhill. Great altitude with panoramic views. Narrow trail on a slope, but already overgrown with prickly blackberries, but I still managed without getting a flat tire. Further on, you come through the Abesser Gorge, flanked by rocks and with water crossings.

More than 40 meters deep, dug into the Eisenberg like a ravine, the Schallersbruch is probably the most impressive of the three large roof slate quarries on the Eisenberg. A viewing platform protruding over the edge of the break allows a magnificent view of the interior. The dismantling, established by master baker Heinrich Schaller from Ludwigsstadt, began in 1889.

A nice wide path through the Schlagetal. Down the valley on the right side again and again large slate rocks. Great view. You can continue the tour towards the Meura stones.

Quiet valley with slight ascent, pretty meadow flowers, forest birds and an ever-bubbling Steinach stream.
