Perfect for a break

The Green House is a small converted pavilion that today serves as a shelter and resting place for hikers. The building was originally a historic armory belonging to Duke George II of Saxe-Meiningen.

Roundabout on the Fürstenweg. The Fürstenweg is an old gentlemen's path that leads from Schleusingen to Schönbrunn to the former hunting lodge. There is a lot to discover here. Great circular tours, viewpoints and lots of nature. The paths in the Hildburghausen city forest are well maintained and can also be passed with a trekking bike.

The roundabout is located directly on the Fürstenweg, which leads from Schleusingen to the former Schönbrunn hunting lodge. The roundabout is also the starting point for many beautiful tours, as there is a hiking car park. The paths in the Hildburghausen city forest are well maintained and easy to navigate.

Very nice excursion destination - delicious snacks

Today I left behind the deep valleys, fearsome peaks and dark forests of my adopted Thuringian homeland and headed south into the wide, sunny Coburg region. My gaze extended to the Vesten in Coburg and Heldburg. The same mountains greeted me from afar. Fields and meadows grew magnificently. Red kites circled over the spot where, according to legend, the Headless Horseman appears again and again. I stopped counting at 20. What a spectacle! My advice: go to this place yourself and be amazed.
