💧 Spring and Pond at the Blaue Halde (Blue Halde) Tucked away in the quiet forest area near the Blaue Halde (Blue Halde) lies this idyllic spot with a clear spring and a small pond. Surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, the scenery seems almost enchanted – a place to pause and take a deep breath. 💡 Tip: Ideal as a quiet stopover for nature lovers who are off the beaten track. Especially beautiful in the early morning or late afternoon when the light filters through the treetops.

🌊 Laufhauser Weiher – Natural Idyll with Barbecue Area The Poggrech Weiher lake is quietly nestled in the greenery between fields and forest. A rustic barbecue hut is located directly on the shore – ideal for short breaks, family outings, or a relaxing rest with a view of the water. Frogs croak, birds sing – it can be completely quiet here. Tip: The hut can be used for groups – please inquire with the local municipality in advance. It's especially beautiful in the early evening!

Old moor area, really swampy biotope!

An approximately 8-hectare moorland near Kindsbach, the Geisweiher, has been successfully preserved as a primeval landscape since the beginning of the 19th century. A biotope has developed there that provides a habitat for plants, amphibians and birds that depend on rising and falling water levels in the rhythm of the seasons. The Geisweiher nature reserve is home to a diverse range of flora, including sundew, a carnivorous plant. The “Torfstecher-Hütte” is located on the edge of the Geisweiher. Moordamm-Mühle and Geisweiher are on well-paved paths that are also open to cyclists. There is a hut on the edge: The peat cutter's hut in the Landstuhler Bruch is a few meters higher, which indicates the height at which the peat was extracted. Moors offer unique habitats for rare animals and plants. They also store large amounts of carbon and thus remove the climate killer CO2 from the atmosphere.

The pond is almost dry at the moment, revealing an ugly, blue and tattered foil. Very ugly and not very natural. Yesterday the children were able to discover a great fire salamander.
