If you take a break, you won't rust here, but will find a great location. It's worth stopping by even with kids.

To the right of the hiking lodge (near the fire pond) is the "Jahn Oak" (marked with a corresponding stone). This old oak was named after Friedrich Ludwig Jahn (1778 - 1852), better known as "Turnvater Jahn". There is also a memorial stone here to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of "Turnvater Jahn".

The Hohe List is a former forest service building, built in 1832, is located away from roads and can only be reached on foot via forest paths. The Hohe List is managed and maintained on a voluntary basis by the members of the Palatinate Forest Association Hohe List. A visit is well worth it and the food here is excellent.

To the left of the Starkenbrunnen there is a memorial for the fallen members of the PWV. To the right above the Starkenbrunnen there is one of the more than 300 knight stones of the Palatinate Forest Association as a name stone for this fountain.
