The Snail Tower was built in 1884 and is located very close to the watchtower in the Schillerhain park. It offers a beautiful view over Kirchheimbolanden, the Donnersberg, and the Rhenish-Hessian hills. The small observation tower, in the form of a pavilion at the highest point of the tower, was donated in 1891 by the brothers Karl and Heinrich Giessen.

The Schneckenturm is located on the 360-meter-high Wartberg, about 700 meters west of the town center of Kirchheimbolanden. It was built in 1884 and is located just 45 meters away from the Wartturm in the Schillerhain park. The 8.8 km circular hiking trail leads through a wooded area with paved paths. The circular route is well signposted and offers a wonderful view of the Donnersberg. You have the opportunity to set up a small snack on the way at the Schreiber hut or you can walk on to the pulpit and plan a picnic there on a beautiful wooden bench with a wooden table. When you return to the starting point Schillerhain, the hike can be combined with a stop at Pizzeria Da Toni. You should definitely plan to take a break at the Kanzel lookout point. The route is of course also very nice for mountain biking.
