A nice stop between Winterburg and Bockenau. A narrow road leads past the kiosk through the Bockeneau Switzerland region up to Allenfeld.

On December 19, 2020, the hut was made available to the general public. Since then, the interior has been equipped with a sleeping loft of approx. 5 square meters, a 3.5m long solid log table and several benches. The windows and the door keep wind and weather outside. A handcrafted acrylic glass pane is installed in the gable on the south side and allows a view of the sunrise from the sleeping loft. A USB charging station and LED lighting powered by a PV system are available as technical equipment. In the outdoor area, under the roof overhangs, several solid wood seats were installed and also provide visitors with a weatherproof rest area. The Teufelsfels observation tower, called Langer Heinrich, offers a good all-round view.

Good place to stop halfway, delicious food at fair prices, but poor mobile phone reception due to the surrounding rocks, so activate offline mode for Komoot beforehand

It starts off easy, then there's a section that's totally churning, riding well in the dry. There were a lot of small branches lying around during my ride 😜 it was fun

Good place to stop for a break, unfortunately mostly closed.

There are beautiful views of the Kellenbachtal from all three vantage points in the rock garden.
