Ulrich's Pond in the Hasselbach Valley is now a beautiful, romantic spot. Originally built to generate energy, it is now a small natural paradise.

So it's Ullrich's Pond. But it has nothing to do with the former grinding mill (which one is that? There are, or were, several in HoMi). There used to be the Ullrich wood and furniture factory on Pipping (the house is still standing, now a half-timbered house converted into a residential building), which used the reservoir to generate electricity. How do I know this: My in-laws have lived here since time immemorial; the older ones still remember it; the grinding mill (one of the former ones) is family-owned. The leisure facility combines everything you need for a nice trip to the lake: there is a bathing bay, a beach bar, numerous playgrounds and sports facilities such as a beach volleyball court. Beautiful place! But unfortunately the area is no longer maintained. Very tall grass! I think it's a shame! Such a beautiful place should definitely be maintained regularly by the city of Höxter!

The outlet of the Carolinenteich in the Reiherbach offers a nice photo motif. 📸

The Carolinenteich in the Reiherbachtal is a Romanesque place. The pond can be completely circumnavigated and several benches invite you to take a break.

A very special place in the most beautiful nature. With a stream, pond, small waterfalls, sun lounger, picnic area and sometimes a lot of mudder 😉

This is where the Black Forest feeling comes in 🏞️😁 and there is also a bench for forest bathing. Very idyllic!
