Beautiful valley for hiking

Beautiful, wild and romantic section through the Jägersburggraben. Sturdy shoes are required as the paths are partly slippery and there are roots crossing the path.

I think it's more of a wonderful way to climb the mountain in the shade. Also as Departure very nice but to be enjoyed with caution. There have already been a number of accidents, some of them serious, because there are no alternatives (hollow way!) and one or the other rapid downhiller has drilled into a tractor. So leave with reason because I use the other way to get up the mountain.

In the upper area of the "Jägersburger Graben" (designated geotope) there are sandstones from Rhaetolian. They were mined in several small quarries that have since been shut down. Down the slope, numerous sandstone blocks form an extensive block field, especially in the north-western part of the graben. (Source: Environmental Atlas of Bavaria) Here a rather narrow and varied path leads through the wild and romantic ditch, which is popular with mountain bikers. This section is a real highlight.

Really nice trail through the Jägersburger Graben. When it's wet you have to watch out for the many roots. Best used when it's dry.
