A great valley

Beautiful meanders.🤩

Quiet valley, good road surface

A beautiful, winding dry valley with lean grassland slopes. When the snow melts and after long periods of rain, the tumbleweeds transform the valley into a watery landscape.

Fantastic scenery. When you go uphill, you can expect steep sections. In the upper section, the tarmac road becomes a track with lanes covered with concrete slabs. Can be ridden on a racing bike.

The valley is accessible on both sides, at the edge of the forest, and can be walked beautifully in a loop.

Here you hike on a wide gravel path right next to the meandering Aufseß through the wide, idyllic geotope of the remote flower valley. Unfortunately, due to agricultural use, it can no longer live up to its name. On the other side of the Aufseß you can see a striking group of rocks near Voitmannsdorf that is worth a detour. To do this, you walk along the edge of a field on paths over to the river, turn right along it and reach the other bank on a wooden footbridge. Keeping left past a pond, you come to the left end of the impressive formation with overhangs and deep crevices and then walk right at its base to a picturesque basin.

The path along the Aufseß is wonderful.
