The Dreisbach is a tributary of the Ahr River, approximately 10 km long. It rises near the North Rhine-Westphalian towns of Rohr and Lammersdorf and flows into the Ahr near Fuchshofen. There are several fish ponds along the river.

In the local language, the plot of land with the three tunnel entrances in the so-called Kupferberg has always been called the "gold hole".
