If you are planning or taking a hike to the rock labyrinth in Sackdilling, you will pass the beautiful forester's house in Sackdilling. There used to be a very good inn in Sackdilling, but unfortunately it no longer exists.

The Sackdilling forest house was a popular excursion destination. "The wonderful forest, the romantic rock formations, the magnificent excursion path to the Krottensee stalactite cave are magnets with a huge attraction. On beautiful summer days, especially on Whit Monday, hundreds of tourists come to Sackdilling." That was around 1900, and Köstler was describing the years between 1860 and 1885. There was a restaurant until 2009 It was like that for a long time, until the restaurant closed its doors forever in spring 2009. The forest house remains, and of course the wonderful forest, as Köstler described it. And a 2.6-kilometer circular hiking trail that leads past the Jura rocks. Ideal for a walk with only a few places where you need a bit of surefootedness. But be careful, when you pass the forester's house, the grumpy house owner might come out and complain that you are supposedly on private property, even though an official hiking trail goes past here. So just ignore it and carry on :)

Good views and intersection point of several hiking routes.

Opened, tested myself. Delicious Winkler beer, very, very good food. It's great that it's back in use again. It is open every day except Monday and Tuesday. Was very well attended.

Recommended destination with refreshments. However, the hut is not always open, so clarify beforehand. The location is very nice.
